THE ASSESSMENT

 

The pH.7 Fitness & Lifestyle assessment is a fundamental part of our personal training process. It allows us to get to know more about you by:

  • Exploring your training goals.

  • Understanding your current lifestyle.

  • Performing a movement screen to assess how you currently move and what your current fitness level is.

 

The assessment is usually conducted over two sessions in the gym, but depending on your level of experience, we may only need one session.

An assessment must be done before any PT sessions take place.

 

FORMAT

 

Once your assessment is completed you will begin to book in your sessions with your coach. What will these look like?

  • PT sessions are 60 minutes in duration

  • Programmes are designed bespoke for your goals but will usually consist of some mobility and muscle activation drills, strength training, and some cardiovascular conditioning.

  • We encourage regular feedback and open communication with your coach to discuss your sessions, training goals, and any injuries you may be carrying.

  • We always advise bringing a water bottle and sweat towel to your sessions.

  • Coaches are often booked back-to-back, so if you are late to your session, it will not overrun from the allotted time.

  • 24-hour cancellation policy: We understand that sometimes sessions need to be cancelled or moved, and we will be as accommodating as possible, but if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged the full session rate.

NUTRITION COACHING

 

As part of your initial 12 weeks of training at pH.7, you have the option to undertake our nutrition coaching course, Metamorphosis.

This programme has been designed to coach the foundations of nutrition and transform your approach to managing your diet, by introducing weekly health habits and tackling common issues such as portion control, emotional eating, and ‘all or nothing thinking’.

The course runs via email and works perfectly alongside your personal training sessions.

 

JOINT PT

 

We offer joint personal training sessions for friends or couples who would like to train together.

We have found that the social element of training together keeps the sessions fun and upbeat but can also bring in a friendly level of competition to boost motivation levels.

Note: Each person’s assessment must be done separately before Joint PT sessions can begin.
